International League POW/MIA Families of the War in Ukraine (ILPMF)

No family should live without answers. No hero should remain far from home.

We help families of prisoners of war, missing persons, and fallen fighters navigate the long, complex and painful process of searching, identifying and, when possible, bringing their loved ones home with dignity.

In Memory of Patrick Mazerolle

Created in memory of Patrick Mazerolle, a Canadian volunteer who fell in action in Ukraine on September 1, 2025.

Our Mission

The International League POW/MIA Families of the War in Ukraine (ILPMF) is an independent, non-profit humanitarian organization created to support families facing the disappearance, captivity, or death of a loved one in the context of the war in Ukraine. Behind every missing person, every prisoner of war, and every fallen fighter, there is a family waiting. Waiting for news. Waiting for truth. Waiting for the right to grieve. We exist to make sure no family faces this ordeal alone.

SUPPORT THE MISSION

We are all volunteers. Our expenses are modest, but our mission is immense.

Your support allows us to:

  • Continue helping families search for answers

  • Guide them through complex procedures

  • Support identification and repatriation processes

  • Build an international movement of solidarity

We explain and help navigate the medical and administrative steps required for DNA collection, transmission, and identification.

4

Repatriation

When possible, we support the long and difficult process of bringing the loved one back home, so families can finally mourn with dignity.

Stories & Testimonials

Behind every missing person, prisoner of war, or fallen fighter, there is a family living with uncertainty, waiting for news, and holding on to hope. These testimonies come from families and humanitarian organizations who have lived through the long wait, the silence, and sometimes the relief of finally receiving answers.
